Default Huge weight gain

I was paleo before, and feeling healthy, but then I let the diet slide away... and all the "sudden" (6 months later), I've gained 15 lbs. It's terrible. I am a very active person, so I know the exercise component isn't a part of what's going on. It's all about the diet. I'm pretty disappointed about it, and I feel bad. I thought because I was healthy, I could eat food like "normal" people. I guess I'm fooling myself on a number of levels.

Thanks for letting me vent, lol. Back to the bone broth, fish, and kale. Not that it's a bad thing.

Also, I just realized that according to my BMI, I'm nearly obese. Ahhhhhh! How could I let this happen?

Sorry to hear you're bummed! The problem with eating like a normal person is there are very few who can get away with it. And what is "normal" isn't really a healthy diet. All the same, I know first hand how frustrating it is to see huge gains. I'm sure you'll get it back in check quickly.

Blackstone nailed it. "Normal" isn't healthy. Lots of those folks are skinny-fat. They may be skinny on the outside, but they're unhealthy and fat around their organs and in their livers.

For many populations "normal" = overweight!
