Default low carb sausages, England.

I have recently started the Atkins diet and was looking forward to having sausages for breakfast. (Still feel guilty saying that).

When I have looked around supermarkets I have found they are full of carbs and with me being on induction obviously I can't touch them.

Does anyone know of any carb free sausages that can be bought in the UK?

I would be really grateful if anyone out there could help me.

thanks .

Try Lidl. They do frozen German style sausages that are only 0.5g per 100. Waitrose also do gluten free and other sausages which are low carb and Tesco have some Hungarian Paprika sausages which are low carb.

I was just at Biggles sausage shop in London. None of their sausages have any bread whatsoever. I'm making spaghetti sauce tonight using their Italian Sweet and Hot sausages. (We're using a spaghetti squash, of course, instead of the noodles!)

Not sure if they do mail order, but I hope so. The sausages are delicious.

Emily

Morrisons have some great sausages called Harrogates favourite sausages they come on packs of 6 and cost about 1.69 and they are 0.8 carb grams per 100grms and they are really meaty andd tastey!! Sainsburys and Safeway also do a good range of low carb sausages, they are more expensive than your average banager, but I think its because the consist of more meat, instead of the crap the cheeper sausages are filled with.

There is no waitrose near me but my gran lives just round the corner from one so over to grans I go. I can then say I will have tried every lc sausage out there. I can't believe I couldn't find any and you lot know of so many. Maybe I need new contact lenses.

My husband is now getting slightly worried about my obssession with sausages but I couldn't do this diet without them.

Oh my God I am reading this back to myself and I sound like some sad sausage addict. Im not honest!!!!!!!!!!!!! before Atkins i would never have craved one. OK im going to stop now, this is just getting shameful.

M&S do some good diabetic sausages - they are "only" 8g for the whole packet. Alternativelt Tesco does good Toulouse sausages with only a trace of carbs - although they take years to cook!
