The redback range sounds good. A bit pricey though, $52 for 750gm. But then that's convenience in a flavoured pack. Their website even says they use stevia to sweeten all their products. That's unheard of for any Australian products. I'll definitely keep an eye out for their products next time I'm in the health food store.
Currently, I make a yummo protein shake. I use this whey protein isolate from Balance Technology, 1.5kg costs $64. It's .3g of carbs per serve or something. Really low. This is pure unflavoured protein isolate. I use:
- 2 scoops of protein powder
- a couple of tables spoons of cream
- a dollop of sour cream
- a couple of generous teaspoons of plain yoghurt
- teaspoon of psyllium husks (for the fibre)
- stevia
- a splash of vanilla flavouring
Shake it all up and you have a shake that tastes like ice cream!! It is beautiful!
For better results, put it in the coldest part of the fridge, and it'll taste even better. I might even try an ice cream recipe with his
