Talking Skinny Pants Challenge!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick and tired of getting on that gosh darn scale and having it make or break my day. So I propose a new challenge- Let's judge our weight loss by the way that our skinny jeans fit us.

Everyone can buy a pair of pants that are too tight for comfort and take a picture of yourself in them (You can post them here if you'd like- I am going to!).

Every week/two weeks, we can try on the pants, and at the end of each month, we will retake a picture and see how much progress we have made.

Weighing yourself is optional. I plan on trying to stay off the scale as much as I can because it always puts me in a bad mood even when I KNOW it's only water weight.

Anyone want to join me?

I am down for this!!! I have to try and figure out how to take a picture of myself first, then Ill do it!

This is so funny you posted this cause about 3 months ago, I bought this pair of jeans that I just loved, and even though they didnt even come close to fitting, I got them with the intentions of getting into them one day. I dont even think I can zip them up so this should be good entertainment for you all!!!

Ill try to post a pic soon, count me in

Hey Everyone! I'd love to join this challenge. I know how ya'll fell about the stupid scale. I actually think I'm addicted to weighing myself (I weigh myself once or twice a day). I am going to try and stop and buy myself a pair of jeans a few sizes too small. This should be entertaining!

Greetings to Tardon, Kikib, Eci and Bluesfan! Glad to have you all along in this journey.

I have been scale-free for almost a week now (yay!) and sticking to my Atkins plan. I feel as though I am released from some kind of prison, in a way, because I am not weighing myself every day.

I agree. I haven't weighed myself in about 4 days and I feel a lot better. Taking the batteries out of the scale and throwing them away was a very smart idea

Smile I am in

Hi all ~

I would love to join this challenge. I am a compulsive weigher and I need to stop. This should be a lot of fun. I am going to San Antonio this weekend and I will find some jeans that I really love and buy them.. and see how far I can move them up my legs, to my hips and over my butt....I will take pictures, as well.. If I can figure out my digital camera.

I'm definitely in - I posted my pic in my favorite skinny jeans a little while back - check out my gallery!!

I found when I was in Calgary Aug. 6-23 and scaleless, I was able to enjoy my days more and was more confident!! I lost 4 lbs while I was there, breaking a stall I have been in since May!!!

So yuppers, I"m staying the hell away from that scale too. Makes me too bitchy when the number doesn't change or goes up.

Kikib- Congrats on throwing the batteries away! It takes a lot of will power to stay off the scale, I know.

Luckily, I'm all moved into my dorm room now, so I don't have immediate access to a scale anymore, which is a good thing. :P

Welcome, Firedancer! (Love your username).

Kim, long time since we chatted! Welcome! And I love your crazy avatar (I thought mine was the only crazy one ).

I'll post a skinny jeans photo soon, gals, I promise.

I love it!! I'm trying to get into my Size 8M Levi 550's- I'll have DH take a pic soon. Trying on the jeans is always more encouraging than stepping on the scale!
