Question DARK PURPLE - and not dehydrated

For you that have been doing this long or are knowledgeable - - is having your ketosis sticks dark purple all the time despite drinking lots of water not a good thing? I ask this because I have been pink and light purple for a while but the last few days I have been the darkest purple and although I am losing inches like crazy I am just concerned that I am spilling too many ketones.

They can also turn purple because of the fat you are eating.

What's your definition of lots of water?

Just looked into your journal and noticed you've made some big changes of late; all of which might have effected your readings.

Cutting out the 'fake'/'mock' foods would definitely help in the inches lost department.

Increasing your consumption of green tea could make a huge difference - GT will increase your metabolism if you drink enough of it, and if you drink enough of it and it's of the right kind (caffinated) then you're going to be a little more dehydrated than you think you are (unless you've added about another litre of water to compensate).

You've also headed back to exercise, which could also be having an effect on your level of hydration.

I'll parrot Beth and ask you just what 'a lot' of water is for yvonne?

102 oz yesterday, averaging about 90-100 oz daily. Drinking 1-2 cups green tea a day.

It really is subjective, but to me 90-100oz is not 'lots' -its just under 3 litres. 2 litres is recommended; so add to that your green tea consumption and your exercise it's possible that while you're not 'dehydrated' you're not 'as hydrated as you used to be'.

If you increase your water and you notice a change in colour then you've got a pretty good indication as to the lay of the land.
