Default ?? about food combining, yogurt, etc.

Hello,

I know the rules of food combining, but will still ask a few questions. Is it OK to combine yogurt ( greek yogurt, etc.) with raw nuts or seeds, or another combo being uncooked rolled oats with yogurt, or even combining all three together. I know this does not combine well in food combining, so what are the thoughts on combining this?

Also, are nuts and seeds best right before bedtime or is another time better? And when eating nuts and seeds separately ( meaning not with another major protein, carb, fat or oil, and vegatable and fruit) how long should one wait to eat nuts and seeds after a meal and then before a meal? Thanks

This is a very difficult post to try to answer. Nuts are generally classified as a protein food but take a very long time to digest as they have such a high fat content. Oats are obviously a starchy food (even though if they are raw the starch will not be easily accessable to the body). My own thoughts are not to combine nuts with oats. In the plan I follow yoghurt can combine with anything.

I used to make a very nice cereal substitute with flaked almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts. This would be nice with yoghurt. You might like to try this and ditch the oats (or eat them as porridge as a starchy meal).

I'm not sure eating nuts before bedtime is a good idea as they take a long time to digest.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help about all this but nuts are one of those confusing areas in food combining. I knwo that if I eat starches and proteins together I get acid reflux. I have learned to listened to my body with regard to combinations like this. If you can eat it and get away with it them maybe it works for you

Good luck and Merry Christmas.
Robert

PS Let me know what you decide.
