Default Accountability - Krys' gym log.

Ok. Time to start this. Now that surgery is out of the way and I'm cleared for action, I'm starting a workout log. I'll start from last Friday, which was when I was cleared for activity again.

Saturday 9/4 - c25k w3d3, w4d1.

Monday 9/6 - c25k w4d2

Wednesday 9/8 - c25k w4d3

Thursday 9/9 - Sprints. Sprint straight sides of the 1/4 mile track (roughly 100 yards), power walk the curves. Did this for 2 miles and was totally gassed.

I plan to repeat c25k week 4. I found if very difficult, and I need to do it again. If I move on, I know I will find it too difficult and stop doing it. If it takes me 6 months to get there, that's fine. However long it takes. I need to condition my body to do something it doesn't do well. I'm ok with it taking however long it needs to. I figure that the sprints mixed in will help. Maybe I'm wrong in that thinking. Whatever it takes!

I'm going to try to incorporate some weights in next week - have to go pick up another 10lb one. I've got a set of 5s, but I don't know where the other 10 went I'm also going to try and find a Zumba DVD and see how I like doing that. I might even work the eliptical back into rotation. I've been on the fence about getting rid of it. It's just tooooo boring! We'll see.

New week! Didn't do much of anything over the weekend as I was feeling under the weather...although the marathon cleaning session yesterday should count for something!

I'm not sure what I am going to do today. Hubs has the gym after work instead of lunch time, so we won't be running tonight. I think I am going to do the following.

10 minute warm up on the eliptical

4 Sets of the following:

15 rotational press
30 shoulder taps
15 lateral raises
40 crunches on the ball (10 left, 10 right, 20 down the center)
15 standard dumbless press
20 core pulls

Hi Matt,

Couch to 5k is c25k, and w3d3 is Week 3 Day 3

I've been bad about updating this. Unfortunately, running had to fall by the wayside as I've managed to get my back out of whack again. I got some deep spinal injections on Thursday of last week, so I'm hopefully on the way to feeling a bit better soon.

I joined L.A. Fitness last week since I could no longer run. I took a pilates class on Friday, Aquafit on Saturday and Monday, and I have a spinning class on the plate for tonight. LOVING it.

Last night was Spin class. I am in love!!! It was SUCH a blast, and man, I was sweating buckets. It was my first one, and I made it through the entire thing following the routine. The instructor said I was newbie of the year for not sitting once! The parts where I did sit though were miserable, my butt hurts SO bad (but, she warned me it would).

I'm debating on what to do tonight. I want to do Spin again, but my butt REALLY hurts. I should do Aquafit since it's not on again until Saturday morning....probably what I'll end up doing. I do love that class too...but I felt like I got a killer workout at Spin. I was actually down *2* lbs this morning. I'm not calling it yet, but that was pretty crazy!

I keep forgetting to update this!

Wednesday - Aquafit
Thursday - Spin class
Friday - Pilates
Saturday - Aquafit
Sunday - off. Walked around the State Fair for serveral hours in the morning, and there are no classes on Sunday afternoon.

Today will be aquafit. I'm seeing great results already. Been steadily down each day. This is just what my body needed!
