Thumbs up Crock Pot Sloppy Joe's

Crock Pot Sloppy Joe's ( from www.LowCarbCafe.com)


3pds ground beef
1 onion finely chopped
1 green pepper seeded and chopped
2 8 oz cans tomatoe sauce no sugar
3/4 c ketchup
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Brown beef in a skillet and drain off fat. Put in crock pot and add
remaining ingredients. Stir thoroughly. Cover and cook on high 3-5 hrs or on low 8-10 hrs.

Total Carbs per serving-9
Makes 12 servings

Sounds yummy, but 9 grams of carbs PER SERVING seems a tad steep for me.

Bet you could use LC ketchup and make it less? Not sure where else you could cut the carbs tho.

An onion has quite a few carbs, especially if it has been cooked..this causes the carb count to increase.
