Welcome aboard, DK! Yes, you can declare a cheat ahead of time; the point is to avoid impulsive cheating.

MOMD 42 days.

I am MOMD #24. I hope everybody else is doing well!

My eating pattern is all messed up. I can’t tell if it’s a good thing or not. And I have definitely been eating less at any given time. For example yesterday, I made some ham and Swiss roll ups for breakfast because I had a six hour zoom meeting and did not have time to cook. After that I went to the grocery store.

One of the grocery store chains here has a hot bar on the weekends with wings of various flavors. Funny enough third two of the same brand grocery stores across the street from one another. And both of them have a hot bar. I tend to go to the newer of the two because they actually label the flavor wings with any allergens so I can make sure I don’t get any with gluten. It’s been a couple of months since I’ve gotten wings from them. So I was jonesing for the garlic Parmesan which is my favorite one they have. I eat less than 50% of what I normally do. And then did not eat again for almost 22 hours.

I made a meatloaf which is really more like a meat pie because the dish I used. Add some ground beef to use up. I did end up having some of it for dinner. Wasn’t wasn’t exactly hungry but I felt the need to eat. So I did.

And OMG I was using up some cheese that is approaching its sell by date. It was a whiskey cheddar. I felt like I got drunk just off the scent of it! But once it cooked into the mea pie it was fine. LOL

45 days and counting for me. That's funny you mentioned the whiskey cheddar - I only heard of it maybe a week ago from reading about it in Jeff(Lojax)'s journal.

I had a not-feeling-like-cooking day yesterday, too, and ended up with deli meat roll-ups at both meals. Oh well, still on plan.

LOL how funny - I missed that in Jeff's journal.

49 days MOMD. I tempted myself by making potato bacon soup at work yesterday, but had my salad instead.

I forgot to call a planned off plan meal - I am having Indian food for lunch. It will mostly be on plan but I want to sample some gluten-free items that are probably not keto or low carb (i.e., pakora, which uses a chickpea flour instead of wheat flour). This may not happen but in case it does, it is planned.

Yup ... had Indian food for lunch. I tried the paneer pakora - very good. I had Chicken Korma for my entree. No rice. Barely any of the sauce. Delicious!

Nice, I love Indian food. IIRC, korma is one of the lower-carb sauces; not really sweet. I had to google pakora. I guess it often translates to "pakoda".

I was trying to remember the name of the website of the guy who's put out a bunch of keto Indian recipes, and also happens to be a metal guitarist... luckily, his site came up high on the google search. It's this guy: Headbanger's Kitchen. Here's his pakoda recipe.

MOMD for 50 days.

I follow Headbanger on YouTube! Love it. And his accent.

Pakora is essentially deep fried whatever (in this case, cottage cheese). Batter is a chickpea batter. Looks like his Pakoda is similar.
