Default Am I Going To Lose Weight Doing This? Please Help

okay as i said before.. i bought a treadmill. I only do walking and running. I could only run for a minute then walk again.. I can't run more than 2 minutes or i can't catch my breathe anymore. I usually stay on it for 20-30 minutes.. Am i still going to lose weight doing this or am i just wasting my time and energy..

ANYONE HLEP ?

I think you need to do the 2 minutes and gradually increase the time you spend on there. The fact is, as you lose wiehgt your stamina will get better. In my oppinion 2 minutes of running is better than nothing, and you'll soon find you can up it to 3, 4, 5 etc in time.

I alternate cardio wtih weight training.

When I hop on my treadmill for my cardio I do almost exactly what you're talking about. Walk for a minute, run for a minute, walk again, run again. I do it in one minute internvals gradually increasing the speed when I am running.

Guess what? when I first started I couldn't run very much at all and struggled to get in a mile in my 20 minutes. Now, I'm averaging 1.9 miles in my 20 minutes. And yes, I've lost weight.

Any exercise is better than none at all. Keep on walkin'!
