Default Starting over again after a few years....

was on CAD/CALP for a while, and it really wasn't working for me then, and I know why. I was not using my reward meal correctly. Fast forward about... eh, 10 years..... food allergies flaring and learning how to live with them, "outgrowing" some of them, and learning how to eat healthier in general, and I am back to CAD/CALP.

Maybe 5 years ago I "made my own diet" and now that I am reading this book again I realize it was so much like this book, it is scary! LOL I had eggs with broccoli and parmesan for breakfast (sometimes sausage too), a salad with protein and whatever dressing for lunch, and then protein, veggie and 1/2-1 cup carb for dinner. on Saturdays I would let myself eat whatever I wanted- and usually it wasn't straying too far, and I lost about 20/30 lbs! Sound familiar? LOL

So, I am back, I have been up and down the last couple weeks trying to get used to this, hadn't really prepared well, and life has been crazy and hardly time to cook dinner much less plan meals and go to the grocery. BUT overall I have been sticking to the main rules, and it has gone down a bit... a few pounds... and I am happy.

I need to get my reward meal under control better, and also to drink more water. My RM hasn't been horribly out of control, but it could be tightened up a bit.

Is it ok to not eat veggies for breakfast? I am having a couple eggs for breakfast, or deviled eggs as an on-the-go breakfast because my morning is so quick some days, and the only veggie I really want for breakfast is broccoli, but know I need to limit that too.

look forward to learning more and losing! maybe next week I will start to add WATP videos after work, but haven't felt good, been crazy busy....

hi Jenny-
welcome back!

I don't eat veggies for CM breakfast, but it is a YMMV issue. There are some people who HAVE to eat veggies with every meal.

I agree with you- the balance in the RM is key for me.

Come by a lot and post and let us all work together!

Thanks for the welcome! back up 2+ lbs today.... grrrrr this rollercoaster is getting frustrating..... will figure it out and then it will work... I must say I have more energy and don't feel quite so bad eating this way, and that in itself it worth it.
