Well, exercise has been nil. Had the MRI Friday (they rescheduled me) - waiting to see what that says.
I've been so busy with work and lots of housesitting - so it's not like I'm sitting around all the time, but I would love to get back to something I can really call exercise soon.

I've re-joined the 2 Hr A Week Challenge. I have to work around my knee, but I am using Denise Austen's Sculpt Your Body with Balls and Bands while at my main clients house. It says its 12 min a day but I am slow, and it ended up being a 30 min workout. I substituted different exercises for the ones that hurt my knee.

I have a ton of pics to put on here from way back when...I just switched my phone to a 'droid phone that I have no idea how to work...I should have taken the pics off first

Sore!!! Good workout. I did day 2 of the Balls/Bands workout. It takes me about a half hour to get thru it. I had to substitute a few exercises again, because of the knee, but I really like this. Short period of time, intense core workout.
I actually did this stretch today (and it felt really good):

It was probably 20 min today of the Ball/Bands workout. I am getting more efficient at figuring out the exercises and finding them in the book. I had only one that I couldn't do and I found that out the hard way....OUCH. I actually look forward to doing this after work.

20 min with Fitball/bands. My knee is pretty ow-ey today so I need to take it very easy on it. Last night here at the house and I will miss doing this! Need to get my own ball/bands and book!

I got to pool-walk at my clients house tonight - I was there just for tonight and it was really nice. I was going to do 30 min, but it was so pleasant I did 45. I even did some jumping and twirling/spinning. Hopefully the knee won't hurt too badly tonight.

Did 30 min with the Fitness ball and Denise Austen's Sculpt Your Body with Balls and bands book. Those exercises seem simple but they really kick butt...I didn't have to modify any of them today - and it was all Fitness ball since I can't find the band this week. I did this (pictured) exercise today....

Another 30 min with the Fitness Ball. I was surprisingly very sore today - especially the abs! Yowie. I left my clients house so no more Fitness Ball til I find one on my own or when I go back again. This photo is why my abs hurt...! did it again today.

20 min with Fitness Ball - was at the house today. I just did a series of fast ones I knew I could do, so it didn't take me as long. I did roll off the ball awkwardly at one point and my knee got bent pretty far - that wasn't fun. ** update here: the bad news is I hurt both knees doing that. I knew the left one hasn't been good for awhile as well, but it's now pretty painful too and I will have the surgeon look at that one as well. Almost gave out yesterday. I am not a happy girl today.

I am going to start back with the 2 hour a week challenge Monday. I have an upcoming knee replacement on both knees this winter and can no longer walk very far, or do much but I can do some modified floorwork, dance in my chair, modified fitness ball, or what have you. Here's to doing this at least 4 times a week.

The ball will challenge your abs, your balance, just by sitting on it. I used mine at home at the dinner table as well as exercising. If you have elastic bands they can be used on the ball as well.
