Default Couch to 5k Anyone?

Hi

I've just restarted the C25K program. I finished it 2 years ago, but suffered a knee injury (fell down my steps) and have only recently felt my knee was well enough to start again...at the very beginning. I can't believe I was running 30-40 minutes straight, 3-4 times a week back then! I barely made it through week one and I'm going to repeat it, simply because I'm not ready to move on to week two.

So...any other C25Kers out there?

I tried it, but I was getting a recurring muscle pull in my leg and decided to give it up. But good luck, and I'd encourage others to give it a try, especially if you have a smart phone. I loved the app I had that ran overtop iTunes. I loved programming a running/walking playlist, and then the C25K prompts were over the music. It was really cool.

Wow! I need that! The song list that the site recommends is awful! I didn't know I could download my own music and have the commands said over my playlist. I'm definitely looking it to setting that up! Sorry your having muscle issues, though. Bummer.

If anyone's curious, the app I used was free and was just called C25K from Zen Labs. Have fun, Brandy.

I've always walked a couple miles everyday, and have recently adding in some short jogs and sprints - maybe this program is just the thing I need to take it up a level! Thanks for the idea, I'll download the app and start today ...

Great! How was your first run, cshepard? I didn't make it out yesterday, my next scheduled day, so I'm going to do it tonight. I'll rest tomorrow and then a ballet/Pilates class the next day. It kicks my butt more than anything I've ever tried. We'll see if I'll be able to walk, let alone run, the next day. I'm hoping between the running and weekly ballet class, I'll get stronger.
