Default When did I get so old? LOL

Restarting Atkins - midlife bulge ugh! Menopause ain’t helping either lol. I have noticed I’m super tired on Induction. I’m about 11 days in. Keeping carbs and calories low 20 or less and 1400 or less. No Atkins surge this time. Suggestions for more energy appreciated!

Hopefully by now your energy is up! It can take a couple of weeks to get adjusted to where your body is not jonesing for the constant carb intake and starts burning fat more easily.

Is there a particular reason you're restricting calories to 1400? Especially in the beginning it's a good idea to just eat and not restrict. I track everything so I have information about how what I'm doing affects me, but I don't try to intentionally keep my calories low.

It will pass as soon as your body learns to stop getting it's energy from carbs and starts efficiently getting it from fats/ketones.

At least that's how it affected me.

Thanks. The energy deficit has subsided for the most part thankfully. Weight loss is still super slow compared to earlier years. Hanging in there.
