Default re-starting atkins

Hi everyone
As I have fibro also I figured this would be a good place to jump in and start posting. Today is the start of day 3 Im not new to low carbing and even though I never seem to take off a ton of weight (185 seems to be my stopping point) I feel so much better when I eat this way.
Im feeling really bad right now and Im sure its not helping that Im weaning of elavil now too.
I stopped and started lc'ing so many times I hope it'll still work for me. How many here have stopped and started time and time again, and are you still able to lose? At this point Id just be happ to be able to wear my jeans when the weather cools off.

Default Hi, dixiegal...

yes that's me (the stopping and starting I mean).

As a matter of fact, I am going to "start" again tomorrow. I have found that with the stopping and starting I don't lose weight as quickly at first. It used to be if I went low carb, I would lose pounds right from the first day. Now, I don't know, because I can't get passed day 4 with much success and I don't seem to lose much before then. I think you body gets used to what you do (isn't that why they say to change up your exercise routine?) and learns how to respond. So I think I will still lose weight, but it will take longer to start.

Good luck!

Default Thanks for the welcome

How many of ya'll workout? Thinking of trying pilates.I used to got to curves, I loved it but it was also the time when I went into one of my worse flares ever.May have been a fluke but Im now afraid to get back on that horse
Im also wanting to finally put my treadmill to work ( Iv had it about 3 years and used it maybe 3-4 times) I have achillies tendinitis (sp?) in both heels but Im hoping if I start very slow maybe 5 minutes and work up it wont be a problem. I would like to hear how everyone that is able with fibro gets exercise. I figure the more ideasI have to explore the better chance of finding somehting that I can stick with.
