I think knowing that is what keeps me going, Jem. If I had to do two DOWN days back to back........well I'd likely have not lasted three days, to be quite honest.

What you said and for me, the fact that I can eat UD on Sat and Sun.

Even with the hcg drops to reduce hunger, I found the day after day of very low calorie on hcg to be depressing. In hindsight after doing two (alternate) down days of only liquids (mainly protein shakes) on JUDDD, I think hcg would have been easier for me with an all liquid diet. Eating the meat, veggies, apple, etc. of Dr. Simeon's hcg protocol just made me hungry for more.

Well, I'm actually up in weight after a down day... that's depressing, but it's probably delayed weight gain from my previous up day when I'd had popcorn.

If you're actually following the plan, it might be a good idea to weigh less frequently....there is the JUDDD bounce.

Peop can give up too easily due entirely to what the scale reads.
But if you're into a good rotation and not using UD's as binge days, you shouldn't worry on a daily basis.

I bounced up today again, too, Nancy. Happens. I'm just not going to worry 'bout it.

It won't derail me. I need to keep a close eye on my weight because it has been going up alarmingly fast with just normal low carb eating. I'm getting better control of the up days now. The popcorn on my last one was an anomaly.

Down day today, hopefully this one gets rid of the weight gain from my Sunday, up day.

I kept my up day fairly moderate yesterday. Flax pancakes, chili with a cheese cookie (melted, crunchy cheese), and a small rib eye for dinner. About 2 oz of almonds for snacks.

Dinner tonight was brilliant! I had stir-fry chicken breast, shiritaki noodles, mushroom and bok choy. The sauce was soy/fish sauce, garlic, with a dab of sweetener and I thickened it with just a tad of cornstarch.

Wow! It was out of this world. I didn't think I'd be hungry after eating all that, but dang it... I am!

Nancy, That meal sounds wonderful. Just like all oriental food, you feel hungry too soon!

Yes, your chicken noodle stir-fry DOES sounds good. But like you, I find I can be hungry an hour after eating such things on down days. That's when I turn to the glucomannan pudding to fill that void before bedtime.

You'd think the 7 oz of shirataki noodles, which are 100% glucomannan, would be more filling than that! It's probably the soy sauce... it seems to wake up my appetite something fierce.

I'm still just inching down after my Up/Popcorn day last week.

Hello everyone...thanks Blue for letting me know about JUDDDS BUDS! So good to see everyone doing so well. I just started this on Monday after reading up on it for almost a week in several threads and on the internet. I am ecstatic to report good progress so far, and the scale moving downward for once in a very long time!

I am feeling amazingly good, hungry this morning after yesterday's DD. It felt GREAT to be able to eat grapes, a banana and yogurt. Without guilt, and really enjoying every bite. Ooooops, sorry to the DDers today. No more food talk like that. I am just so excited that this lifestyle may be THE answer for me.

I miscounted cals yesterday and was over by 110 cals. Hmmmm, blonde moment apparently or that's what I get for adding in my head! But I was under on Monday by 120 so I guess it all works out, but still need to be more careful.

4/30 DD 154.0
5/1 UD 154.0
5/2 DD 152.5
5/3 UD 150.5

Water weight I know, but I do feel less puffy, and that feels good.

You're doing great, cactusrose! Congratulaions on your loss.

I overshot on my first three down days because I forgot to record something I'd eaten and then continued to eat thinking that I still had calories to spare. But, I got better about that after the first week.
