Dry fruit and most types of nuts. I used to binge on trail mix back in the pre-LC days...

Sweets-cookies, cakes, desserts

I lost all my weight last july & August and put it back in Nov. and dec. I made a double recipe of fruitcake cookies-loaded with butter and sugar and fruitcake fruit and ate every cookie in the house. It's tougher this time b/c my DH isn't doing this with me like before.

My mantra is " if I eat a bagel I will look like a bagel"!
I have no sweet tooth and I bake pastries and baked goods and sell them, so if I bake I don't nibble.
And here is the problem: anthing made of bread dough and it does not matter what it is. I bake bread for my hubby and that is the only killer for me. I have to leave the room while it is baking or if he is making toast. I have no appitite for anything and have to make myself eat a bite every several hours between water intake to kep the fires burning.

Bread... Cookies... Any kind of cookies, specially those with chocolate, like Chips Ahoy.

Breakfast cereal. I swear I'll never eat that stuff again. I hate eggs, but I prefer them over some "Special K" which is supposed to be healthy, but it's mostly sugar and... well... I could eat the entire box.

Ice cream, also a huge weakness. I crave all kinds of sweets.

Funny how I don't have that problem with rice, pasta, potatoes.. it seems my body craves only processed-full-of-sugar food.

Pasta! Can't help but eat a pile when I was eating it. That's why I stay clear of Dreamfields now.

I'm new here, but my danger foods are definitely pastries-#1, white flour in anything will have a delayed effect.. sometimes within an hour and sometimes not until the next day.. but it turns me into a raging jerk- no two ways about it. (Nevermind the fact that white flour is a huge trigger for cravings!)

I figure I owe it to my family and friends to tow the line and eat what is good for me. It's taken many years to realize this, but I am SO very grateful I could make the connection!!!! It wasn't until I read Dr. Agatston's book that I saw the food/mood connection!

Milk chocolate is another trigger, but I can handle high quality (high cocoa butter and NO milk!) dark chocolate without any trouble.

The "hidden" carbs. It's easy to avoid the obvious stuff.

Quote:
Cream -- 0.6 grams per ounce
Cheddar Cheese -- 0.5 grams per ounce
Swiss Cheese -- 0.9 grams per ounce
Eggs -- 0.6 grams each (large egg)
Sugar-Free Jello (mix) -- 1 gram per 1/2 cup serving (maltodextrin)
Sugar-Free Tang -- 1 gram per cup (maltodextrin)
Coffee -- 0.7 grams per cup
Metamucil -- 2 grams per serving; not counting fiber (maltodextrin)
Artificial Sweeteners -- 1 gram per packet (dextrose or maltodextrin)

See the source here.
