The bank clerk this morning told me I resembled Katherine Hepburn! Granted, I was wearing a somewhat Hepburn-esque hat, but she said no ... it's the high cheekbones! I have been told that before - but not since I was in my 20s. I'm 62 now.

Welcome back, cheekbones!

(Too bad I've never been so tall and willowy as Katherine was <sigh>)

Around 2000 I lost weight and my own mother looked at me and said, "I didn't remember you having high cheekbones" LOLOL
They're making a comeback again like yours Verbena, I hope!

Ann, Don't worry about the size, you may have more on top then me...Also most of those large size shirts I have now have some lycra mixed into the cotton so they do give a little. You may also be wearing shirts that are too big for you. It's hard to get used to the new shirts that aren't loose like they used to be with 1x, more body contouring now with a waist. Like I said about getting rid of the unibreast thing. LOL

Well I have to say I am really surprised that I have actually had "measuring tape" progress without any pounds lost. In fact I put back on a couple from that original 5lbs or so that I thought left me.
What a weird phenomena this is.
I have been measuring about every 2 weeks, just so I don't obsess over it and dang it all if there hasn't been losses.
A 1/4" here and a 1/2" there and all told a total of 8" since I started the plan. I am at a loss for words.
I just can't figure out how that much flesh could have gone away with NO movement on the scale.
I know there is a theory that lean mass increases even without exercise and I am starting to think it is true.
Anybody else having this kind of loss - without actually losing pounds?

Hi Anguwa,
I've read that when we loose fat sometimes fluid/water will take it's place in the fat cell and then all of a sudden there will be a whoosh when we loose the fluid too....Maybe that's what's happening with you?

Instead of a usual greeting by using my name, I was greeted with "Hi Skinny". I am not yet "skinny" but it was a NSV!!

I haven't been able to do up my winter coat in years. I put it on the other day, and when I zipped it up, I found I had lots of room to spare! I might actually need to get a new coat next year! LOL

I like that NSV Catherine. I bet that felt great, zipping up with room to spare. I'm getting some use out of an old winter coat, too. I found it in the back of the closet - barely used. It is so old that I can't even remember the last time I ever wore it.

When I shrink out of this one, the only other coat I have is a wool "Members Only" jacket from about 1990. Did I hear that "Members Only" is making a comeback? Hope so. It is a nice jacket, too.

Comeback, Schmomback! They're just bomber jackets which are classic and not a matter of style. It was a good quality jacket and you should wear it with pride.

Cute guy in line in front of me in the checkout line was shamelessly flirting last night. Not in a creepy way but in a fun way. If I wasn't married, I would have SO been flirting back. :-) I'ts been a while since I've been flirted with when it was sweet and innocent.
