hi
everyone
its been long since i have posted on this forum
well i am in my 36th week of pregnancy and every thing was going until my last check up at antenatal clinic when midwife told me that in the last two weeks my baby did not grow and it is small for dates like i am 36 weeks pregnant and my utreus only measures about 34 weeks
i am so worried as now it is the end of of my un eventful pregnancy and i don't want anything to happen to my baby
the doc says it might be due to placental insufficiency and the baby is not getting its nutrition i am so worried and i don't know what to do i want my baby to be born healthy and with good weight
i need help
please
Well, the advice you need now is medical. Probably you will need to give birth sooner. But that should work out just fine!
I've met some moms online who had this kind of problem, where something went on with the placenta, and they had healthy kids. Try to stay relaxed, and let us know what the doctor says.
Sometimes it seems as if the measurements are off, so don't despair just yet. I always measured "large" with my first son, and he was only 8 lb 14 oz, yet I never measured large at all with my second son, and he was 10 lb 9 oz.
Can they do an ultrasound or some further testing to determine whether or not your baby is really growing or stalled? If you want to do some research, you can check on IUGR (intrauterine growth retardation) and check out the causes/treatments/etc. They will want to deliver if your placenta is not supporting the baby the way it should.
