Default yes

Fat. You can have some, but the idea is to basically adopt the old "high carb, low fat" way of eating that so many of us tried before finding low-carb.

Low-fat eating may not work for fat loss, but it does wonders for getting carbs into your muscles.

Low-fat eating LONG TERM does make people fatter, when exercise isn't done. This is because of the insulin response and how well insulin does its job ... when excess carbs are taken in, they are stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen.

If they aren't being used as fuel, and more carbs are taken in, the body can and will store the excess as FAT.

But, in our case, the glycogen stores are empty ... and Friday night to Sunday night isn't enough time to cause fat storage. Just enough time to allow the muscles and liver to replenish themselves.

It's quite a good system ... Isn't the body wonderful?

Default I can't ...

take this pressure ... LOL

Well, it can be argued that the fiber in fruit may not be the best scenario for carb uptake, but this is another area that is splitting hairs.

The best guidelines is that for the first 36 hours (up until Sat. night) you really want to eat mainly simple carbs (sugars, white flour products, etc) that will be easily digested.

Saturday night you can begin to introduce complex carbs, and fruit.

Again, this is all textbook technical stuff. A carb is a carb. Eat it, digest it, get it into the muscle.
