Default Just got started

Hi I just got started yesterday, and I already have no support from friends or husband, but I went to my doctor and he suggested this diet (after I picked myself up off the floor after looking at the scale). So I must try it, I have four children, one three months, I need more energy..and I have to loose this weight, please anyone help with what I need to eat for the next 13 days, I ate eggs with cheese this morning, beef patty for lunch, and a chicken breast with cheese for dinner, what else can I eat? also is diet coke o.k.? thanks ahead for any help!!!

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum. Make sure to take a good look around because there is a ton of info about food. Check out people's journals for ideas of what you can eat but here's a few suggestions in the meantime:
  • You don't have to eat eggs in the AM. Sometimes I eat leftovers from dinner the night before
  • boiled eggs
  • celery sticks w/ cream cheese
  • red, orange, yellow, green peppers w/ cream cheese
  • don't forget to eat your greens (lettuce, spinach, broccolli, gr beans)
  • salmon - canned or broiled
  • tuna
  • sliced meats from the deli - stick to meats that aren't processed

This is by no means comprehensive. Just a few ideas. As I said, if you look around the site you will get a lot more ideas.

Good luck & don't forget to drink lots of water.

Default P.S.

Try to stay away from sodas. I know it's hard for some people to get used to drinking water instead of pop or juice but it really is much better for you. Besides, the sodas sometimes put people in a stall.

I agree with lauraW, you really should buy the book. It tells you everything you can eat and gives you some menu ideas. Also reading peoples journals is a big help. Start your own. We love to jump in with our advice!
