Question FAST Foods

Like all good parents we tend to venture to a local Mcdonalds or Burger King with our children to give them some great food .

On atkins are we allowed eat a quarter pounder with cheese , with nothing on it and throw the bun away. Or maybe a Chicken Mcgrill, again no condoments or Bun. Is this a safe practice...I can't find any info on this stuff minus the Bun

bye for now!

Hiya Flog!

I go to mcdonalds ALL the time, i get the burgers plain, but with mustard, and peel the buns off. what I like to do is get the cheapest burger, rather than the more expensive ones, cause once you pull everything off it all tastes the same to me! Just a small note of caution, the cheese at most fast food places is processed so plan on adding 2 carbs per slice as a rule of thumb.

FYI, most of these places will make you a burger w/o the bun - they'll look at you funny the first few times, but they catch on real fast

The guy who owns the burger store where I get my bunless cheeseburgers at lunchtime keeps threatening that he's saving up all my buns and is going to have them delivered to my office one day I'm just lucky he doesnt know what floor I'm on yet.

Default Fast food...

Upon following the sage advice of members of this board, I now order burgers (sans ketchup) and toss the buns and get a side salad to go with it. I don't do this very often because I still prefer cooking at home, but when running around shopping with friends and such (or with your kids) you can eat too and not jeapordize your WOE.

Yes, they still charge full price Very annoying. I suggested the shop owner feed the buns to the ducks
