I'm also from Hamilton, but born/raised in the Sudbury area.

Anyhow, just thought I'd drop a note and say HI . I think we seriously have to consider starting a new Ham/Bur thread.

Welcome to the thread Ray. I don't think we need a new Hamilton thread. That might be confusing for a few of us....especially old ladies like me.

I agree. Leave this section here.
Otherwise I'd get lost and wouldn't be able to find my way back!! :-)

Ok. So I weighed myself today, and now I'm puzzled.
I've taken 'walks', been busting my ass at my store, and cut out the 'crap' (like Gatorade - who knew!) all of a sudden I'm 5 lbs lighter? I haven't officially started the Atkins yet... getting pissed off reading this 'book' since it's all about HOW you get overweight and history and such. I know all this stuff already.

Back on topic.
I've been doing nothing but drinking water for a week also....
I've had 2 tuna subs this week (I usually have 4)....... mujst be the walking and 'hustling' around this past week.

I just find it..... .odd.
Peter.

PS - I miss the Gatorade... really bad.

Well thats great, Peter. I say never look a gifted horse in the mouth. Besides you'd be amazed at what a litle water and walking can do for ones body.
So when do you offically start LC. I bet you'll see some amazing results. What kind of store do you work at that keeps you moving? Thats a good thing

I work in "Specialized Retail"

My plan 'was' to start today - my fathers birthday was on the weekend, and we always have a big dinner, so I was considering it my 'last supper' so to speak.

But today I had to have a tooth pulled (emergency), so now I think I'll start it next week. Seeing as the oral surgeon SPECIFICALLY told me to eat ice cream and pudding / jello. :-)

I actually bolught the sugar free Jello.

Ice Cream however is a sacred thing for me as i never really eat it anyway.
Since I usually only eat it once/twice a year, I went for the Hagen-Daz.... the good stuff.

The tooth is MUCH better now and I'm convinced it must be due to the Hagen-Daz ice cream........ ok... that and the Tylenol 3's. :-)

Peter: Another 3 pounds gone..... must be from lack of food this week.

Gotta love those tylenol 3's. I used to take them for my knee pain but I cannot take them anymore as they do nothing for me because I got too used to them.

I hope you feel better soon. It sounds like you are enjoying that ice cream.
I love thier coffee flavour. I always go for the good stuff too (Haagen Daaz or Rolo) whenever I want ice cream which is only a couple times a year as well.

dr. Atkins does tend to drone on and on doesn't he? It drives me nuts when I am reading his book and the whole time I am thinking...get on with it man.....just get to the darn point already. I get so frustrated I start skipping ahead or drop the book back into my bedside basket and flip over for a nap.

Man. This tooth..... or non-tooth as it is, is killing me.

I finally had a chance to go into the Totally Low Carb store and look around.
Seemed busy (3 people) so I didn't get a chance to ask any questions about anything. Is the Low Carb stuff always so high priced? I know with a 'small store', prices can be higher and I'm ready for that, but I'm just curious before I begin that's all.

Seemed like a nice store. Shouldn't be across from Mandarin however as I was considering heading over for a bite.

Ever consider moving it christined? I don't know what your rent is, but I know of a plaza on the east mountain that is bigger for $600.00 a month.
