Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather Livvie. I might try chicken broth or chicken soup (no noodles or dumplings), diet ginger ale or diet white soda. Sugar free Jello. Scrambled eggs, or roast chicken if you are feeling up for "food".
Hope you are feeling better soon.
I was wondering the same thing! Been under the weather with a nasty cold for about a week and am just now getting back to proper LC eating. But a few days ago, I had some chicken and wild rice soup, crackers with butter, and mixed some regular fruit preserves with my yogurt-also had some honey in tea and many spoonfuls of cough syrup. Nothing on plan sounded the least bit appetizing and my energy was nil to do much searching online.
I keep this chicken soup recipe in the freezer packed in individual servings for just such times. You can omit the carrots to make it induction friendly.
Since you are already sick and probably don't feel like cooking, I agree with the broth with a few veggies mixed in. Diet sprite or ginger ale....might even be able to freeze some into pops? You could even flavor it with some sf syrup.
homemade egg drop soup! boil chicken broth, whip eggs like you would make scrambled eggs.....slowly drizzle the egg into the boiling broth and stir with a fork....very low carb and easy on the tummy!

Thanks, Freckles! I'm planning to make this in the morning. Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup used to be my standby when I didn't feel well. This one looks like it will be so much better.
There are lots of good ideas on the right food to eat when you are sick. Make sure your vitamin D levels are up and get plenty of C. It may prevent you from getting sick again.
