YES!!!!! made with brown sugar, molassess etc.... If you go for jerky, go to a butcher that makes his own free of sugars, molasses and nitrates!!

I eat slim jims as a snack periodically but they have a LOT of chemicals so I only do it when I can't get any other snack when on the road and have run out of what I brought.

Up here, the beef jerky that's sold in stores has nutritional information on it. I get the "pepppered" jerky because it's quite low in carbs (2-3g) as opposed to any of the sweeter varieties that are usually listed as 10g+.
