Default come celebrate your small victories!

I am trying to take things day by day now. Its much easier that, but its easy to look at the big picture and get overwhelmed, not matter what size you are. To avoid this behavior, I am celebrating my mini goals and victories. Today, I had ate really well. In fact, I have burned about the same amount of calories as I have taken in today. Of course, that will change at the day progresses. I have been doing well with my water consumption. Last night I went to a friends house. He was going to order pizza, but I declined. He just snacked on some stuff and i didnt feel tempted. We didnt even drink last night, which is something we seem to do together. Horray!

Now....no matter how small....share your victories!

Cheers

We had our All-Hands meeting, and they provide breakfast. Eggs, bacon, bagles, muffins, strudel thingys, then at break we had birthday cake.

So what did I have?

2 slices of bacon
scrambled eggs
coffee

When the cake came, I went to the table with a fork, grabbed a forkful of frosting, and that was it, done! They then baked their usual cookies at the office, didn't have any.

Tonite I'm having baked chicken and tomato/cheese salad.

Cheat Free, I feel a WHOOSH coming on! haha.

Happy Friday!

Its so weird....I enjoy veggies far more when I am on atkins. I think that eating all of the processed foods really messes us up. I am so content with my salad. I love atkins!

I had dinner with the boss and other supervisors last night. They coaxed me into having dessert (because my birthday is Monday). I ate a slice of grenache cheesecake and boy was I sick all night last night! That will prevent me from indulging in sugar again. The really cool part was that I lost 2 lbs today. Go figure!!!

I made cookies and cupcakes at work ( for a child's birthday -- I teach preschool!) and didn't even taste-test them!! The chocolate- chip cookies were the hardest to resist, blehhh....

Then I came home to find my mother-in-law had mailed us 3 dozen homemade chocolate-chip cookies for my husband's birthday. I seriously felt like I was being stalked by cookies!!

Some days are harder than others for temptation!

43 lbs lost in almost 5 months. Everyday I don't cheat is a small victory. And I haven't cheated once.

I finally made it below 150!!! I was on the Atkins bandwagon last year and fell off. I lost weight but I was never able to get below 150... I would cheat, reward myself, etc. But I did it!!! I am so happy that I am sticking with it this time. And even though I have moments of weakness here and there, I go right back to what I know I need to do and I actually feel really good/healthy eating like this. Yeah for me!!!!

Thank you for this thread.....

Last night was SO hard. My favorite food in. the. world. is Cold Stone Creamery ice cream. I went out with a few of my husbands friends who wanted to go there. I stood around and watched the four people with me eat their ice cream. I ate none!
