*UPDATE* : Well, it is a few weeks later, now. I am down 2 253Lbs. ( Not bad coming from 270! ) Have had "Aunt Flow & Uncle T.O.M" 2 contend with >;-[ *Weight loss ALWAYS slows down 4 THAT. I am happy & that's what matters - LOL! Clothes R not nearly as tight, feeling much better.

Going 2 try 2 start a blog on here, if I can figure out how. I would LOVE 2 hear from other "over 40" women on Atkins, esp. if they have thyroid issues, or PCOS <3

"Wow, I'd love to hear your specifics, too!"

But the specifics are within the thread. Fantastic success story!

Not sure if the last two posts are addressing the OP, but if you are, just another reminder that this was posted nearly 8 years ago, and the OP has not visited our site in more than 6 years.

It is a shame he has not come back to let us know if he has maintained his loss, but since he has not, there is not much point asking him questions.

His weight loss rate picked up at the end too, no plateau problem for Bow tie Boy. Very hard to equal these results IMO, yet the most popular success story. It seems that other good stories with details/follow-up/My-plan diet details don't do as well without the quick results caption.

Using BowTie's result's as a metric, may cause one to have unrealistic expectations. Yet his results seem modest by "The Biggest Loser" show standards.

Anyway, great job BowTie keep up the good work !!!

I agree. Most of us drag our bodies kicking and screaming towards the next lb loss.

I can see how anyone that ate only 2 boiled eggs, a little lunch meat and two baked fish filets could lose a lot of weight that way! Thats like almost starving yourself! What a remarkable amount of endurance for a man who was so used to eating so much more, for you to eat so little portions, congratulations!
