Default Extra Virgin Olive Oil question

Hi. I'll bet this has been asked a hundred times around here but can EVOO be left out all the time? I leave out my extra virgin coconut oil and the house is warm enough in the summer months (we kind of keep a warm house -- don't turn the air up unles it's really hot) that it is liquified all the time. Actually I hope that's allright too for the coconut oil.

You know how it is though -- you want some oilive oil for a meal but you forgot to set it out and it's solid. So I wonder if I can laev it out all the time without spoilage?

I was taught to keep it out of the frig in the cupboard (I've got a BS in Food Science, seriously! ) My google search unearthed this:

Before you buy: At the grocery store, reach for a bottle at the back of the shelf, where the oil is shielded from fluorescent light. To store at home: Keep your oil in a low, cool, dark cupboard, or in the refrigerator if you use it infrequently―never next to the stove.

Enjoy your EVOO!
