Default Coconut oil lovers

I have been on a coconut diet for a while. I eat about 4 Tablespoons a day. Love the taste. Is anyone else on this and has it helped you in any way? Lets compare notes.

I enjoy the taste of it, so I take a tablespoon a day. It's great for cooking with.

I'll rub some on my skin to help moisturize it.

The Coconut oil has been a great help for my mental health. I wish that everyone knew how great it is for that alone. My nerves are calm, no more nightmares of which I have had almost nightly for most of my life ( I have PTSD)
NIce to see someone else is on here that takes it.

I love coconut oil. Just returned to it this week after an absence of a few months (wanted to see how I'd feel without it). Already this week I've had weight loss and more energy. I cook with it, eat it with a small spoon from the jar, and rub it on my elbows as moisturizer. I keep a jar on my desk at work and you should see the looks I get when I eat it by the spoonful, LOL!

I try to eat at least a tbsp a day (usually melted on veggies) and am loving it, it has... umm.. regularized me, and my skin looks much better than when I was using butter.

I use it instead of lunch!

And it's great for dry skin.

I have had at least a Tablespoon each day for years and saw a great difference in my skin but now that I eat 3x more my skin is really nice for a 66 year old. I eat it and I also put it on my skin.

I love coconut oil and use it everyday.

I put it on after showers

Drink it in coffee

Cook with it

and my latest thing, I do oil pulling with it. Makes my teeth and gums feel great!

Glad to hear that it helps with mood stabilization, I can see why it would!

I also oil pull. Caught on to that about 6 months ago when I read on another site how good it is for you..
I use to have these white things inside my skin on my face. I had a few of them cut out a few years ago because I was told the only way to get rid of them was to have them cut out. I tried to squeeze some out and even cut them but I could never get them out. Now since I changed my diet, upped my coconut oil and take cod liver oil they are all coming out on their own. Also I had
a nickle sized sore on my lower leg for over a year. It kind of looked like a cancer but I can't say for sure. I looked it up on the computer to see if one of the cancers looked like that but I am no DR. and I wasn't going to let my Dr. see it because I knew what tests he would order. Any way, it is completely gone. The skin looks just like my other skin on my leg looks.

Never a day goes by that I don't learn something new and fascinating from this site! Today it is oil pulling. After reading your posts I googled it and it sounds like my kind of thing: simple, natural, used for centuries without Big Business making a profit from it. I keep a jar of coconut oil on my desk so I tried it. It will require a bit of practice to keep it in my mouth more than a few minutes but I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for mentioning it.

coconut oil is the only oil I cook with. I take a spoonful every now and again. I also tried a bit of oil pulling, however I found it a challenge to do it first thing in the morning as I need to communicate with my 6 year old. I could only manage 5 minutes. I will give it another crack I think.

I use Nuilife. I tried another brand, wild something.... but I did not think it was as nice.

Question on oil pulling. Wikipedia says swish it in the mouth 15-20 minutes and then spit it out. I'm assuming you drink it instead?

Never mind. Read more on it and it sounds like you do spit it out.

I like to make chocolate bark with it. Still perfecting the recipe. bout a 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of cocoa, about 20 drops of vanilla stevia and 1/2 tablespoons of shredded coconut. Still working on the perfect amount of stevia but I love this chocolate. Just melt and stir it all together and pour into a small dish and stick in the freezer to get it hardened up.
