Default Looking for a good Prawn sauce recipe

I really like Garlic prawns and love eating prawns at resteraunts but whenever I cook them, I never get the sauce right. Does anyone know a delicious creamy garlic sauce that I can make on Atkins?

Or any other ways of cooking prawns that you reccomend.

Thanks
Alastair

Something I use often for both fish and shrimp is:

Put melted butter, garlic, shallot's and cilantro into a food processor. I pour it over the fish/shrimp and then top it off with fresh grated parmasean cheese. I either bake/broil it in the oven until it is done.

*You could also top with lemon if you would like.

Yummy - I may just have to make this tonight

I cheat and buy Shrimp Scampi at Costco. Each shrimp is actually covered in sauce and then quick frozen, so you can have one shrimp or 10. Super easy and yummy!

You could cook the prawns in butter and garlic, then add some heavy cream at the very end?

This one is my favourite:

Just excellent, and now that I bought a little mini chopper thingy, chopping up the peppers is easier. Well worth the effort, truly delicious!

I make my own alfredo sauce, and use it for chicken or over Dreamfields pasta. DH thinks it would be great with shrimp, too.

2 T. olive oil
2 cloves fresh garlic
1 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. parmesean cheese
1/8 c. sour cream

Heat skillet with olive oil and garlic and simmer. Before garlic turns brown, add heavy cream and reduce heat. Gently heat the heavy cream to bubbling. Add cheese and sour cream. Stir until sour cream is melted and sauce is fully combined.

This takes two minutes to make, and is AWESOME, if I do say so myself.

Enjoy!

To make your sauce a little creamy, you can add a little cream cheese. That is how I used to make my low carb (or just plain quick) alfredo sauces.

Asiago cheese instead of the parmesan is my favourite. A little red pepper cut in small cubes and added to the garlic adds great colour too.
