ALA, R-ALA, Evening Primrose Oil?

We've been reading Bernstein's Diabetes Solution and also Syndrome X, and wondering if anyone here takes ALA, Evening Primrose Oil, or Insulow?

DH is diabetic, and I'm obviously insulin resistant -- we'd love to know if there have been results with these supplements.
