Before! And please use an IV.

Actually, someone has researched this and it turns out that acetic acid may be somewhat beneficial in slowing the digestion of carbohydrates in about 37% of the people in the trial and that was after a high carb meal. The effect diminished after an hour.

ACV has helped with appetite suppression, TOM cramps, TOM PMS, and helps to stablize my blood sugars... It really isn't that bad when taking it in a full cup of water to dilute it. Some people even add a sweetener to make it more palatable...

Give it a try...

I drink it everyday, I even like it now. It tasts fresh and for me, it helps stablize my sugars, gout, blood pressure, it even helps give your skin a glow.

I take 2 tablespoons in a little cold spring water before dinner and before bed.

I also do oil pulling in the morning, google that, you might like it. Weird things but doing them consistently really helps me.

One can only admire your commitment to BG control to do that.

Fiber does the same thing so I would predict that 2 carbquik biscuits and gravy with every meal would slow the digestion of carbohydrate because of the fiber. You could have been eating biscuits instead of chugging vinegar.

Maybe those biscuits with a chug of vinegar might work even better....

Wine would help more than vingear and it is all natural and can please the palate as well as reduce high fasting blood glucose levels. There was even talk on another diabetes forum amongst type 1s to try and get our insurance companies to reimburse us for it. It works that well.

Personally, I'd rather wear a horsehair bra than drink vinegar.

Susan, that is one of the smartest rationales I have ever heard in my life. Do you think they should reimburse for a really good wine like a Chteau Margaux 1995? Can probably pick them up for less than 3 or 4 hundred dollars a bottle.

Now, that's what I call an aversion......

I rode a horse bareback while wearing only a pair of shorts when I was about 12 years old. That lives in my memory to this day as something I'll never want to experience again.....

I never chugged vinegar, but I think I'd chug before going bareback again...

Perhaps, after chugging, I might see things from your perspective... ... I hope it won't make me feel like wearing a bra though......

Seems doubtful. I don't think I would get 100% on El Burro Kickass Garnacha, but one can always try. Let me know how that Margaux works for you.
