Default Anybody do low calorie/lowcarb?

I've been maintaining for over a year but would like to add some higher carb foods. Do any of you at maintance, count calories too? Does this make sense? Maybe what I need to ask, is when adding more carbs should we be counting calories and maybe reducing fat some?
Thanks for any comments.

Hi, I just kind of found myself cutting back on some fats while maintaining, I still don't count calories, I eat all fruits and veggies, whole grains, brown rice.
what do you mean by higher carb foods? AS long as they are wholesome foods and not a processed item, then I say no don't worry about the calories. But if Higher carb means treats/desserts, ect, then it makes sense to pay attention to your daily calorie count, but first and formost, I'd be keeping track just in your head of the carb counts.

Hope that makes sense,
Kathy

Thanks for your answer Kathy. I don't eat processed foods but some of the higher carbs I eat are apples, some other fruits, sprouted breads, and just recently tried some popcorn I love. I also eat about a 1 cup of LC ice cream in the evenings. I'm still maintaining. I'm between 115-118 which is ok with me.I just was really afraid of the popcorn but I sure love it. The bread is about 14 carbs with 4 of them as fiber. I add flax into my lc yogurt and eat lots of vegi's. Was curious if I should start counting calories now to make sure I don't start gaining.
