Default How'd You Break Your Stall?

In the first 7 weeks, I lost 16-17 lbs. For the next
4 weeks, I hovered between 212-214 lbs. Just
couldn't get to my mini-goal of breaking the 210 mark.
Last week I bought some Jello Sugar-Free Chocolate Pudding.
Over the next week, I fixed and ate 2 boxes.
Mmmmm, scrumptious.
So good, I felt guilty.
Like a chocolate mousse.
Yesterday, I weighed myself.
NO WAY!!!
208!!!!
Don't know if this is what did it, but if I stall in another 4 weeks,
tell you what.
I'm heading to the puddin' aisle!!

don't tempt me

I'll mix softened cream cheese (2 or 3 oz) with some cocoa poweder, packet of splenda and a dash of heavy whipping cream and a lil lc peanut butter...... that really takes care of a craving, BUT..its just a once in awhile treat.

When I stall I step up my exercise a notch, adjust my carbs higher or lower by 5, check my protein levels, up or lower my fats. You gotta play around. Plus a lot of people think Atkins is a quick fix, it's not, and it isn't healthy to lose the weight that fast. The closer you get to your weight the slower it will come off, plus, you gotta take your measurements!!! This gets repeated so much around here, most people have to adjust their goal weight and will find that although they don't weight what they want the inches are still coming off.

I choose to ease up on the calories. Other than that, I just keep doing what I'm doing....lots of water and exercise....and my body will let go of the weight whenever it's ready to.

Just curious- what's the nutritional info on the pudding? I could swear I've looked at them at the store and they seemed a little high in carbs. Perhaps your body needed more carbs and that did the trick? Regardless, congratz on breaking that stall!

I agree with Sunpine17. You must have needed more carbs. If I would try that one I would gain 5 pounds! But, it is great that it worked! Again, you may be right. I got upset because I had lost nothing and made a low carb jello fluff. . It was GREAT! But, I made it and ate the whole box, which was 3 small bowls in one night! I drank diet green tea and lived in the bathroom for the next probably 12 hours!
But, I drank it again last night, and went and bought some that I had tried in 2004 when ever the weight was going down slow to take for the next 5 days.
I got on the scales today and I am down 2 pounds!
So diet green tea broke my stall!

Brenda, are you talking about the asian diet green tea with Malva verticellata and loquat leaf, or reg. green tea? I just bought a box of the Triple leaf brand called Dieters' green tea, and haven't opened it yet. I got it in an Asian store. I drink reg. green tea all the time, but haven't noticed a difference--Gail

I did the fat fast...just last week...I lost 5 pounds in five days and so far *knock on wood* it hasn't come back and the scale is continuing to creep down!! So that seemed to work for me (doesn't for anyone though). BUT I am also being very carful about my caloric intake this week too...making sure I don't over do it!!

Hi Gail! Yes, it has the Malva vericellata (Chinese Mallow, and Cassia Angustifolia (Senna). I seen the one you bought also. It is just this one has worked for me in the past. And, actually you have to be careful of the diet green teas that have these ingredients. They can give you extreme stomach discomfort, and make you run to the bathroom alot! So, don't continue it if it does this to you, and don't use it for more than 5 to 7 days at a time. Give it a break after that and wait till you need it again. Regular green tea is a great product for your health. But, it is not going to make you lose weight. I have read that you would have to drink an ungodly amount of regular green to get the true benefit out of it. But, it is good for you, so don't quit drinking it. It is an excellent antidioxiant.
The diet green tea is the one that has been known to help you lose weight, but it does have the ingredients that they took off the market in pill form.
Good Luck
Brenda

Brenda, thanks for the info, please tell me the brand name of the one you have that works. There's ingredients in it that mine doesn't have. I have also learned somewhere on this site not to mix teas, they can be dangerous. So today, I've already started drinking reg. green tea, and will stop and tomorrow start the other.--Gail

I quit nuts and cream and had a 9 lb whooshie over a 2 day period. I was stalled for 3-4 months. I believe I may have food intolerances....or just overdid those things. I cut out all dairy and eggs this week and 2 more pounds have come off so far. WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Trish
