I just saw the thread on Victoria and it reminded me, I am coming in April and could someone recommend a restaurant where I might find something lo-carb to eat? We love ethnic foods and I understand that you guys have a wide variety of cuisines. We are staying downtown.

I like so few restaurants in Victoria it's hard for me to recommend anything!

I HAVE had some good meals at the Marriot Hotel on Humbolt St. I think the restaurant is called "Fire and Water Chop House."
They are very accomodating and advertise some low-carb options.
The prime rib is excellent.
I found dinner to be better than lunch!

Bluepants - maybe while you are here there might be a chance to meet in person...just a thought. There's quite a group of us here now.

I like the Japanese Village downtown. They serve lunch and dinner but lunch is much cheaper.

"Cactus Club" has excellent chicken wings! (and good salads) It's on Douglas and Fort St.

Moxies, on Yates at Vancouver, has quite excellent wings and salads as well. They can do a mean bunless burger on a good day...

Sanuk, on Broughton (at Langley I think?) has some VERY interesting South Asian/Indian Fusion on the menu, much of which is easily LC'ed if not already so.

The new Milestones menu (downtown one recently renovated, I believe, at Wharf and Government, right on the harbourfront, we call it the Inner Harbour) is pretty interesting, minor tweaking. I've really enjoyed the Joe's Special, just leave off the foccaccia, for brunch. I'm assuming the menu is the same at all locations, cuz I've been occasionally brunching at the out-of-town new Milestones.

Sure hope we can actually have a wee get-together, that would be SO nice, BluePants!
