I've put in my calendar for the 26th. Looking forward to seeing all of you.

As for the Turtle Club - I've been a member for years. I've been working on the last 5# for 4 years!!!

On another note - I signed up for the TC 10K in April again this year. I went to Elk Lake and ran/walked/crawled around 10.5K - guess I earned my VERY SORE body today!!!!

Julie, the only thing that surprises me about that statement is that you haven't been at least partially training for it all winter! Why in the world would you start with 10.5K if the race is only 10K??!!!! I'm assuming you're just starting training - otherwise there wouldn't have been any "crawling"!!

Glenda - I walk all the time and have done lots of long distances - just not since the new year....hence the sore muscles!! I've been weight training and walking during the winter but am under therapist's orders to not run outside unless it's warm enough - too high of injury risk - so yesterday was the first outdoor run of the year.

The only "crawling" was up the hill back to the car and then up the stairs (ok, not real "crawling" just moving really slow....)! Really! I was so tired that I came home and took a long Epsom salts bath.

The reason I went 10.5 is that's the distance around - can't stop at 10 otherwise someone would have to bring my car to me on the trail LOL ....

Appreciate the concern and feeling much better now, as expected.

Julie

PS wait until you hear me whining after the half marathon in the walking festival in April.....

Good day all, just checking in....

DD is sick with strep throat and feeling a little sorry for herself since tomorrow is her 19th birthday! For some reason she is always sick on her birthday - go figure.... She is on day 2 of antibiotics so should be improving today.

I'm not feeling 100% either - if I am not feeling better (stomach thing) I'm going to have to take a pass tonight.

DD called me at work this morning even worse than before -being sick, stomach cramps etc etc.... poor baby. I spent the day at home with her feeling lousy myself - sorry ladies, going to have to bail because I am hip deep in laundry and not presentable without a shower....

Next time!

Julie

Julie, I agree with Stephanie - well poo! Anyhow, take good care of yourself and, of course, Mouse! Have you started a March thread yet ?
