It's sure nice to have someone capable of making an executive decision! Date circled on my calendar too - looking forward to it!!

And Anny - no low-carb cookies thrown from here ... baked spuds maybe, or sugar lumps, but NO LOW CARB. As long as you keep the snow on the mainland, you can wallow to your heart's content and we'll be glad for you. Looking forward to seeing you again - it's been too long!!

Glenda

Julie, it's legal once every 80 years +/- ... I have old postcards showing the "big snow of 1916" and then our fairly recent memorable blizzard right after Christmas - at least most of us had tons of left-over goodies in the house so we didn't have to go out. Other than that, yes ... I believe it IS illegal (if not, city council better get on the ball!!!)

We had the blizzard of 1996 which was close enough to Christmas to count as far as I am concerned...... that should give us about 70 years until the next one.

;~)

I was trying to remember what year the famous "metre of snow" happened. The rain here in New West just switched to mega-snow for awhile (I'm not kidding--some of the "flakes" were demitasse sized!).

I willed some over your way but I'm afraid I don't have those kind of superpowers, which means I also can't promise to keep the snow on the mainland (sorry, Glenda!).

Thursday, December 20th at 12:30 at Travellers it is. See you then, barring a blizzard!

Default Sale! (sort of)

Fellow LCLunchers, I've decided to clear out my DaVinci, ExpertFoods, Steel's and SweetOne stock (new labelling laws kicking in, low traffic, other things to do, yada yada yada) at half price.

Y'all get first dibs (and free delivery if you want to collect it Thursday at lunch!). Anything left after Thursday and I go public... think of it as a big old Boxing Day sale! {--- link to Products ! sorry, forgot to mention this, but that's why it's underlined...

MOST flavours are 1 or 2 bottles apiece in stock, PM me for a current stock update if you're interested, K? First come, first served...

Ta! (and see you Thursday).

Jude - i just PM'd you but I might add to it when I go back to your web-site to double check on useful (to me) stuff that you might still have in stock.

I totally sympathize with your decision (the law is an ass {I forgot who first said that!}) - we just might have to try to organize an annual shopping trip to Bellingham or even Seattle.

Anyhow, that's a whole 'nother meeting! See you in a couple of days ... hugs, g.....

Oy, Glenda, I actually DO have to make a high-speed 1-day turnaround to Bellingham somewhere between the 27th and, oh, on or about January 11th...be glad to have a wee carpool on the go, because, wait for it...I have just accepted a (cross your fingers it holds and the place opens on schedule and they like me, etc. etc. etc.) brand new job as a Lead Cook at a decent rate of pay {for a cook!} starting somewhere around the 12th of said month! Whoeeeeee

Thought it would never happen.......now to survive December.

Oh Jude! How exciting!!! Congratulations and OF COURSE it'll hold, and OF COURSE they'll like you.

As far as Bellingham - that's a little soon for me, especially after the order I just PM'd to you! I'd better not need any more supplies that soon!!

By road it's still government issued picture id (like driver's license) and proof of citizenship (like birth certificate). Probably won't get a passport renewal on time, anyway!

Got all the PM's, am powering through all the projects today, get back to you soonest (and thanks for the good wishes, y'all, I appreciate it more than I can say).
