Hey Sher,

This is my third week on it. The first week I felt blah and realized I needed suppliements, especially potasium as I was advised here I wasn't getting enough and being that I am not into veggies too much, the kinds that you can eat I needed a suppliement.

My second week was pretty good except for the womans curse but I got through it.

This third week I am feeling just a bit tired, whereas the other two weeks I felt pretty pumped up!

I am enjoying the wonderful feeling of not feeling heavy, and not feeling hungry, but also noticing the longer I am on it, there are cravings that are begining to happen, which I find kind of strange as my cravings did go away after a few days...guess though one starts to miss their certain foods they enjoyed in the past?

The cravings aren't big cravings, just that when I find myself in a grocery store with a Client (part of my business) I look towards those goodies and start thinking about it....LOL Today I grabbed a bit of nuts from the bulk area and ate them while walking around. Whew, that helped! Client had a giggle with me, as she is use to seeing me grab something from the deli or a quick chocolate bar!

But guess what she does to me today? Her hubby passed away a month or so back and he had a sweet tooth. She is cleaning out her cupboards and sure enough passes me a bag of cookies, at least four bags....God, this is one of my weakness's!!! Luckly when I got home, they weren't my favourite, favourite type and I do believe I can handle not having them. My son and I are the cookie monsters here at home, so I know he will finish them up...LOL

I also noticed which near killed me...LOL That the grocery store last week, decided on putting all their cakes half price, talk about cakes too they had to have been their best ones!!!....I gave them heck. I said to the cashiers, "all winter I look at those cakes and can't afford them, now I change my eating habits and you all put those cakes on for half price!"

They all had quite the giggle over this, one girl had the nerve to tell me to go ahead, one won't hurt me! Wendy wouldn't take that advice, this girl happened to be a heavy girl and it made me think, nope, Wendy doesn't want to be heavy anymore...or what do they or we call it? Pleasantly Plump!

Anyway, thought you may enjoy my little stories. I have at this time lost 9lbs so far. I am not concentrating on the scales so much as more on healthier eating habits. With the tiredness, I don't fight it. I am praying it is only temporary or that I am missing something in my diet and will figure it out? I go and have a nap and then get up and feel good once again...LOL

Default tyerrrd....

Me, too, yawn....too much work, not enough time off. And not enough exercise. I've been working 7 days a week for too long, and have got another 3 weeks or so to go. My brain hurts!

I sometimes notice little 'cravings' too, Wendy, but, like you, not so's you'd notice. At one of the places where I work (for lo, there are many), they bring in cookies and other sweets to munch on. I bring my own beef jerky (which I make myself with my handy-dandy dehydrator), nuts, and other LC treats, and I'm not even tempted by the sweets anymore. Every once in a while though, first thing in the morning when I'm buying my coffee, I REALLY want one of those warm, fresh muffins!

The nice thing about being on this WOL now, as opposed to a couple of years ago (when I did it the first time) is that there are a lot more recipies around, so when the desire for a sweet treat hits, there's a low-carb alternative. I don't have low-carb sweets often, but just knowing I CAN is usually enough to keep me happy.

Rachel
