Yikes! I was looking at a recipe for "healthy" fudge
http://thewimpyvegetarian.com/2012/...-healthy-fudge/
and was wondering what sweetener to substitute.
"Isn't agave nectar supposed to have a lower glycemic effect?" I wondered.
...and then I found this thread about how bad agave syrup is for you.

Using honey, as suggested in the above recipe, would add texture as well as sweetening. But 51 carbs for 3 Tbs of honey... even in something like fudge, where you're only eating a little bit at a time... I don't know...
I thought I might try this recipe because I have all the ingredients (except the sweeteners). But I have lots of OTHER sweeteners in the house: xylitol, Diabetisweet, Torani "syrups", Splenda, and a brand new bottle of Sweetzfree!
Thoughts? Perhaps there's a different fudge recipe that you prefer?
(Maybe the best solution is to go and buy ONE chocolate truffle at this lovely chocolatier I know, and FORGET about having an entire tray of fudge in the house, LC or NO!)
