Thanks for your support Karen. I am trying to follow South Beach as close as possible. I get my eating plan from the South Beach online website.

hello, Everyone. I'm not gone, just busy today. Guess I will start with myself today.

It rained buckets while we were at church today and we haven't heard a word from the insurance guy...grrr. But we kept the buckets under the leaks so no new dammage that we know of.
Did well on the lc thing this weekend except at our granddaughters sweet sixteen where I had 5 chips (i think you can't eat just one!) and one fingertip full of frosting. I think I have to invoke the three bite rule on this one. I did resist the hamberger bun, potato salad, baked beans and cake. I don't think I did too much damage. At church this a.m, I had no trouble walking past the choc. chip cookies with nary a sniff. Actually, if I had sniffed I probably couldn't have walked by them!

Demi: glad to hear you are doing so well. I will be weighing Monday the 7th, after two weeks on phase one. Here's hoping we both do really well. Oh, I just realized, that will be our 10th wedding anniversary. (Not going to be much celebration this year!)

Jandlsmom, keep up the good work... what an inspiration!

Fluffy, thanks for all of the support you give us!

Foxglovs: This is a real loose kind of thing. I will be posting with the south beach babes, in my own journal and probably here too. Wish us success.

Anita: Starving, how could anyone starve eating like this??!! Do you feel like you have to struggle to eat as much as you should sometimes? I do. Then of course there are other times....!

Judy: Your help is always appreciated.

Hi, guys. Sort of a crazy day today - eating on the run alot. Defrosted some of my home made chix veg soup and had that with a large salad for lunch. Dinner was late (just eating now at 10:55pm) so I made an omlette with cheese, smoked ham (deli slices) sort of shredded, fresh asparagus and alot of pepper. It was pretty good. Had a side glass of tomato juice with lemon.

Welcome, Jill! The more the merrier We have some South BEachers, Atkins and just general lowcarb...jump in anytime....we love the company!

Joes
, hope that rain dried up a little and awesome job passing up all those goodies...what makes me feel really good when I do that is thinking about what I normally would have eaten if I weren't doing my lc plan....kind of like if I get a Whopper without the bun....well, that may not be great, but guess what...normally I would have had the bun plus a large fry with that, so no matter how you look at it, it is a tremendous cut in calories, carbs and fat...how can you lose?...oh, rereading my post...how silly...you can't help but lose is what it should say!..

Have a great night...good luck with the roof!

Anita

Wow, awesome!!! Well done! I hear you on not getting on the scale now except for once a week, it's better sometimes to do that so that it doesn't start getting to you when the scale bounces a little.

It enevitably happens to all of us, better sometimes to give yourself a break from the pressure of weighing in daily....that's not to say you won't again occasionall - like when gaging hopw to add stuff in, it's handy to weigh in every day on entering new phases.

Good for you anyway, I am impressed 6.8lbs is fantastic in the first week!

Way to go to all the losers!!!

I had a big whoosh too.....down four since last week!!! Woohoo.....just may be the incentive I need to keep going...I'm starting week four so I didn't expect a big whoosh....but now since my appetite dropped so much, it seems much easier. I am staying on induction....that's what worked for me last time and seems to be working now....I would still love a couple of glasses of wine in the evening, but have tried before and I just don't lose if I do that...

Have a great day!

Anita

Default Round 2!

Hi everybuddy! I'd like to join (again)! I lurked on this site a year or two ago, slid off the "beach" towel, and am starting again today! I love fast food and sweets, so that will be my biggest challenge this second time around, too. There is so much support here, I have no doubt I'll make it further this time! Here we go!
