Default Drinking wine on Phase 2

I know we're technically allowed to drink wine on Phase 2, and I'm looking forward to having a little tonight (it's my first day of P2).

But how have you found wine to impact (or not impact) your weight loss? How frequently do you indulge?

Just don't want to derail my efforts. (I only lost 3.6 lbs in phase 1).

Thanks! -Laura

My advice for you is to lay off the wine for as long as possible if you want to see more loss. It will slow it down and you don't have much to lose at all.

Save having wine for a dinner out or a special occassion. Try not to have it be a part of your everday food.

One trick that I did was to take a small amount of wine, when I did have some, and make it into a tall spritzer with ice and lemon or lime. It worked out well cause it gave me a little buzz, nobody thought I was being a party pooper and I minimized any damage that way.

I have been on the beach this time around for about 7 weeks, I have no desire to have any sort of alcohol and I remember the last time, it started with wine and then jumped over the the occasional beer, then several beers, and I wondered why I gained weight back or didnt lose. I am cutting out all alcohol until I reach my goalweight. Is cheaper that way, too and I wont make a fool of myself

Thanks for the feedback, ladies.

Cutting out all alcohol until you reach your goal weight sounds like a great idea -- HARD, but a good idea. I wish I had the resolve to do that. I think I'll try to keep it very moderate for the time being, and see how my weight is affected. If drinking wine sometimes does affect my weight loss, I'll cut back (or cut it out) until I reach goal weight.

Thanks!
