Default low-carb ice cream

has anyone tried blue bunny's carb freedom ice cream??

i have and i think its wonderful!!

is this okay to eat or are there too many sugar alcohols?

and i also have a question about the ketone strips..

is it a MUST to get them and check to see if you are in ketosis and if you don't get them, how do you know if you are or not.

when i started atkins 2 wks ago i jumped into OWL because i figured i wanted to maintain my weight and i actually gained. i am now on induction [day 3] and i havent stepped on a scale but i already feel smaller! yay!! is this a "placebo" effect or does it really make you feel like this??

YMMV with low-carb products IMO.

My DH can eat an entire pint in one sitting and still lose 2-3 pounds per week.

It slows my weight loss and sets off cravings for me.

OMg I have strawberyy AND chocolate Blue bunny LC in my fridge as we speak / type! lol. THEY KICK BUTT! They're not AS sweet as the real thing... well sweet isn't the word... maybe not as strong a flavor, but they're one heck of a substuite. I only "treat" myself to 3-4 tablespoons and eat it with a tiny teaspoon to make it last longer. My hubbie is a die hard for the strawberry.. I'm a chocoholic kinda girl!

YMMV is a toughie your mileage may vary ie it all depends
DH is darling hubbie
I havent had blue bunny but the Bryers lc ice cream is great. Fewer sugar alcohols (SA's) then candy or bars. Keep your portions to what serving size 1/2 cup_Measure! and enjoy

love the blue bunny carb freedom!! just tried the chocolate covered ice cream bars.....they were delicous. they were a good size too so you didn't feel like you wanted to eat three more after!!

I have tried all the ice creams(dryers, ben and jerries etc, carb options) and have found blue bunny to be the richest tasting to me. but thats just my humble opinion

LMBO! I really don't know. Icecream is my weekness though.

BUT when I eat a dessert, I try to eat it RIGHT after dinner, so I am not really hungry. That way I will ony eat a little and later when I want a "real" dessert, I'll eat a piece of cheese.

ummmmm *scratched head...

Im not an expert and havn't been doing this a long time but *shhhh* I did. I still loss too. I seriously think how many carbs you can have is all up to your body. I would imagine the bigger you and / or the more carbs you are use to having the harder your body will hang on to them.

I actually like the Keto ice creams. Butter Pecan and Vanilla are the only two that I've found w/out malitol. ANd they are SUPER GOOD. But hard to limit for me...and neither caused any stalls!

And ketosis strips are like scales, you don't need them and should avoid using them every day. Check once in a while just to make sure that everything is on track, but don't get dependent on them...you know your body better than a scale or a strip....go with what you'know'
