Default Subway LC wraps.

I have been hearing and reading a lot about these new wrap that are at Subway. Are these low carb wraps, they claim 11g, in Toronto, or in Canada? I'm just curious if this is just an American thing, which would totally suck.

Default Got my answer!

I happened to be at a subway today and it appears that they will be getting these wraps at Canadian locations. They said in about a week they will get them. That's really good, can't wait to try them.

That's weird...I think the wraps are already available here in Kelowna as of Dec 29th. My husband saw them on the menu at the Subway in the mall.

I know two friends who have seen them, one who ate one, already in Winnipeg! She said it was delicious... but she admitted it could be because she was just so happy to be eating something like a sandwich again

Just to add to my posts, when I went into Subway, one of the locations, the ladies working there had no idea what the heck I was talking about, I managed to explain to them for a while what it was that I was refering to and they still didn't know, just as I was about to leave, it appears that the manager or supervisor, someone higher-up came out and overheard the conversation. He then said something in chinese to them(probably to remind them) and he said that we would get the wraps in a week or so. Glad I managed to stall enough to have the guy come out, or else I wouldn't have known.

I checked out www.Subway.com today, and there is info on the new Wraps. The Wrap itself has 5G of Carbs. They are currently featuring two wraps the Turkey Bacon Melt with 10G carbs, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch with 11G of Carbs (for some reason the US version of Chicken is only 8G, not sure the difference).

In addition, you can have any regualr sub on the menu put in the wrap. Of course you then have to do the math. But the Subways site is great for nutritional info.

I was just over at Subway (in Surrey), and they have the low carb wraps. The turkey/bacon is about 11 g (after fiber) and the chicken ranch is 8 g (after fiber). I tried the turkey bacon, and it was good!!! The wraps are thin and soft. Not sure what brand they're using, but it's pretty good. We'll definitely try them again.

Me again with an update. Happened to be out shopping today and just decided to check up with the local Subway here and it turns out they finally got em. It's interesting because they use special ingredients. I guess Atkins makes them use the low carb wraps, also, special cheese that the normally don't use and bacon. I had the chicken bacon ranch one and it was really good. I could eat that every day, hehe, except don't want to pay that amount everyday. For the occassional treat I will be eating those wraps. It's good to know that there are alternatives popping up when I go out with friends to fast food joints!!

Hey while watching the Hockey game last night ( our Canucks won by the way :>)
They were advertising Subway with it's new Atkins wrap , glad some of you have tried them. Subway is one place I never go anymore cause if you toss the bun, what is left, is not enough for lunch for me. :>)

Cheers Kathy
