Hi Everyone, I had a wonderful evening with my friends. Tired not to munch to much. Dinner was great. Pork chop and salad for me. I did have 1 drink, a few apple slices, cheese slices, and shrimp. I didn't have any of the sweet treats that were out. So I don't think I did too bad.

Well up 1 lb from yesterday 193.5.
I'm ok with this after my evening of fun.
Back to walking the treadmill tomorrow.

I'm so glad to have all of you here with me. SB is really a way of life now for us.
Happy New Year to Everyone.

I made it through day 1 of phase 1!! Woo Hoo!! The scale is even down from yesterday. Yesterdays weight was 222.8 and todays weight is 219.2!! Wowsa!! It was hard though trust me, but I have a new sign on my fridge and it says the leading cause of failure is giving up what we want most for what we want at the moment. I also have flyladys body clutter contract on my fridge too that I like to read. Anyhoo, I hope to do good this year, and maintain my new years resolution of staying positive

Good for you Niaomi, hopefully you'll see good things on the scale this week and have a good weigh in next time too!

Things have slowed down on my loss right now, but I'm never entirely sure when TOM will visit as it jumps about a bit, usually within a few weeks of itself, so I could be coming up for that time.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

Well my new years eve party caught up to me yesterday so my weight jumped a bit. But already headed back down today. So today I'm really at 3lb gain from what my stats are.

Congrats Naomi for sticking to your plan.

Sticking with my exercise plan too. So I know it will be back down soon.

Hope Everyone is having a great week.

Yesterday 254, today 252

I survived day one! Almost cheat free... a little sideways cheat, nothing major

Lost 2 lbs. and feeling better already! Today is going to be pretty much a repeat of yesterday, less the cheat.

Going to the movies this afternoon. Will have crunchy veggies and nuts for legal snacking....

Returning to Phase I is like riding a bike. Yesterday was day one...no cheats. Did a 7 mile hike on the Devils Backbone just west of Loveland in the foothills. Had to cancel the snowshoeing trip because of avalanch danger. 2 were killed in an avalanch this week end...right where we had wanted to go. Also...I'm down another pound this morning.

Glad to see everyone is pretty much on track.

Hi Everyone

Thank you sooo much for all the encouragement. Thats definately what I needed this morning. I am now on day 3 of phase 1, and goin strong! I have to admit that it helps sooo much to write my food here everyday. Alot of times I dont want to post my food out of shame or just plain ol laziness. But its a new year and time to say good bye to ol habits.

Skippie-Yay for sticking to your exercise program!!

Hazel-Thanks for being you

Judy- You're so lucky to get paid to walk

Joan-What movie are you going to be watching? Good thinking on planning ahead

Tat-I hope that you get to feeling better

Pstar-I got tired just reading your workout Great job

Naomi,

Before starting SB 2 years ago I couldn't have done this hike....or any hike for that matter. Now we camp and hike all over the Rockies. What great fun!

Being in shape, and the freedom it has brought, has been one of my motivators in staying true to the beach for 2 years. When I say it has changed my life...I'm not kidding. I'm 55 years old and feel better than I did in my 30s.

Bill

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE
My weight hasn't moved yet.
I'm still putting in at least 3 days a week on the treadmill. It all adds up. If I do a 4th day that right at 5 miles in a week.
Our weather sucks right now, but no complaining here I can stay in warm and dry. Judy has to do her walking in the wet/cold.
I wanted to start putting away Christmas but went and did other stuff yesterday. So today have to start.

So in addition to my treadmill I'm going to be doing the basement stairs carrying boxes up. I carry them up empty and hubby carrys them down full.
Better get started or I'll find something else to do again.

Bill your pics are great. Glad you're back

Judy keep warm/dry. Glad you're here with us

Naomi keep that birthday gift in mind. My b-day is July 5 when is yours?

Tat2Dolfin keep at you'll be feeling better in no time.

Joan go for you doing legal snacks, keep it up

Hazel How are you doing, I know tom is lurking. Try drinking extra water sometimes it helps me.

Everyone else just keep it gets easier.

Have a great day.

I walk almost everyday. Don't miss many...rain, snow or shine. Lucky The Wonder Dog is a big dog and has to get out and about. We have a park with a 1.5 mile walking trail about 2 blocks from our house. Lucky and I either walk it a couple of times or go to the Rover Run, the dog park. Rover run is about .75 mile around the perimeter and we walk around it 3 or 4 times in addition to playing ball, etc. All of this really helps in prep for hikes in the hills.

You've got to get some amount of exercise on SB. Any is better than none. It is really a key in driving weight loss. As we all know, as we increase muscle mass we burn more calories.

If you are not getting any exercise, start slow and build...you'll be suprised how good it feels and where you might end up. It's amazing how much exercise you can get in less than an hour.
