Talking Ruby Tuesday Cheesecake

Has anyone tried the low carb cheesecake at Ruby Tuesday's? It is yummy! I was wondering if anyone happened to have the recipe or know where I can get it?

I have a great recipe for low-carb cheesecake, but it's really nothing like Ruby Tuesdays'. I did figure out the "secret ingredient" they put in the crust to make it so tasty, though — coconut! Next time I make a cheesecake I'm going to experiment with unsweetened coconut to try to duplicate that crust.

A company called Atkins Elegant Desserts makes it. I know because I bought one from Ruby Tuesday's for my B-day. Actually I had heard of them before and had been to their site. Believe it or not....Atkins Elegant Desserts were made for diabetics originally and the family name although the same as the famous Dr. Atkins is no relation at all to Atkins corporate. They've been around for a long time. Just do a search and put in Atkins Elegant desserts. It's about 6 or 7 carbs per slice of cheesecake. I can't believe how good it is.

Also if you like the low carb tortillas they use there, they get them from a company in Texas called Rudy's. www.rudystortillas.com(i think that's it)
Now I have to call them to see if they sell to the public.

The first time I tried it, it was good. The last time I wa sin ther eit was gritty and nasty.

I really like the b-day cheesecake I made this year. It was smooth and great. I think it was lower carbs then the RT one anyway.

The link is here for mine http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=155122 it also links to the origional recipe I adapted, so you might try that.

The price on the cheese cake comes out to about $2.95 a slice. This is for 12 slices a cake. Well it is better than the 6 dollars a slice at Tuesdays. Oh, and shipping and handling are not added in to the price.

I work for Adam Matthews, and we were one of the first companies to manufacture a Low Carb Sugar Free Cheesecake. You should check it out. Visit www.AdamMatthews.com and get all the scoop. Only 3 carbs per slice and resonablely priced too.

The reason shipping is so high on the one cake is because they have to be overnighted because they are parrishable. We are looking into selling ours online.

You can contact me if you want more information (nicolek~adammatthews.com).

Thanks.

I am on Atkins and LOVE the cake.
