Hi Carla. That is the beauty of CALP! You can have potatoes and even those little bars -- as long as you are balancing! I would not have made it through two years of Atkins. This plan can work for you! Try it you'll see! If you were on Atkins prior to starting CAD/CALP, the 7 Day Jump Start won't be as helpful. Do you have the CALP book now?

Summer, you body may still be adjusting. Are you drinking lots of water? Exercising builds muscle too (and that weighs more!) Did you have a lot of salt or caffeine (those ALWAYS affect me.) Try a few days of clean CALP and see what happens!

You are doing great!

Thanks Dawn- I KNOW I'm not getting enough water, and I love my coffee. There are alot of changes I know I need to make.

Yesterday was sooo bad, like the whole day! My husband's grandma is dying in a nursing home and we went up for one (probably last) visit. It was so sad and horrible. I ate like a mad woman, stress related I know.

Today is a new day, and I'm going to shoot for at least 1 L of water and lots of tea.

Thanks for the support, I'm not giving up!

But I didn't even weigh myself today, I just couldn't do it!

I can't give up my coffee either in the mornings...I don't know if I can function without it.

carla- I'm about to try CALP too, and I've been on Atkins for 2 years as well, and I'm SCARED!! Just the thought of eating poatoes is making me gain! I've decided to allow only good carbs (South Beach Style- whole grains, sweet potatoes...) and see how I do. Special occasions will be for treats. I don't want to start eating the junk I used to eat, that would make me start cheating more I think. I'm going to just choose good carbs for my RM's and see if I can start losing again. It's been too long since I lost, and I have 10-15 lbs to go. I'm glad I'm not alone! Good Luck!

149.5 today, I plan on no eating the really salty foods, or cheats outside of RM, balancing my RM and drinking 1L of water.

Here's to more loss!
