Summer, so for example you could have two CM meals and for RM you could say have a couple pieces of pizza? I like salads, but after being on atkins for 2 years now, am a little tired of them. I am thinking of doing CAD, I lose slow, so I don't think this will be much different for me.

Carla-

Sometimes that's what I do for a RM, I eat a salad, then a piece or two of pizza, but let me tell you, you can't do that every night and expect to lose.

I recommend you read the book, I can't stress that enough, I'm not a great example of cheat free CAD life

I'm at a stand still right now, I have on Atkins for two years and haven't done really well, went from 210 to 182 as of yesterday. I like Atkins but it is hard to stick with for me for the rest of my life I feel. Cad looks like it may be good for me, I will have to get the book, I have the 7 day startup one, but may need to get the other one. I have toyed with the idea of exercise and portion control too.

I just don't know what to do at this point, I want to lose more and am scared to death of gaining what I have lost back.

I know for me that CAD is great, I don't know why I ever left this WOE, lazy I guess. I exercise too, then you can have a bigger RM. Portion control works, but doesn't always eliminate cravings. I will say when I eat the cad way, I have zero cravings, because I know whatever I want I can have some of it at dinner. When I just watch portions, sometimes I feel deprived. You could get the paperback book, and give CAD a try, it just might work for you too I've only been able to stick with Atkins for like 3 days it was waaaayyyy too restrictive for me.

151.5 this AM, YUCK!

It's TOM, so I'm not going to get too crazy, but I'm back on track today, hoping for a big jump on the scale later this week.

BALANCE, BALANCE, BALANCE!

I need those reminders. My RM's are about 1/2 balanced, I eat a salad first, then I eat my protein & dessert, WHERE are the VEGGIES?? I need to plan better for the veggies!

That's the goal for this week, Tues - Sun, balanced RM, then who knows, I may just waste away to 135, ha ha!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies!

Thanks Carla! Today has been a REALLY good day, I drank 1 liter of water, and hope to drink another before the day is over. I'm going to fill myself up.

How are you doing?

So far today I am doing pretty good (I think so anyway). Still learning this WOE. I have been extremely thirsty today so have been drinking lots of water. We have 16 oz cups here at work and I am on my third one now.

For breakfast I had two eggs, three sausage links

Lunch - side salad w/blue cheese (shredded cheese and bacon in it) and a double cheeseburger no bun/no ketchup. (Dairy Queen)

Supper, I haven't decided yet what to make.

When I weighed myself this morning I was 1 pound down from yesterday, but we will see .... going to wait to get excited until I have done the weekly average.

Carla-

I love the weekly average for weight loss. When I go, day to day, I think awwww I'm not losing fast enough. Then when I do the weekly average, I'm excited, because I'm always going down. Slow and steady loss is permanent loss.

Summer I think I did bad for my RM meal... I had some cheesy potatoes (hash brown potatoes baked with cheese and sour cream..etc) and 2 of the snack size candy bars from my kids' halloween buckets. I also had pork chops baked and mixed vegetables baked (cauliflower, carrots and broccoli). I think I over did the carbs. Live and learn this new lifestyle. Hopefully all the housecleaning am planning on doing will help with my exercise to get those carbs off.

After being on Atkins for so long I still feel weird being able to have the potatoes. Or maybe I shouldn't on this WOE either...not sure...
