Secondly, how many hours constitute an overnight fast between the last meal in the evening the the next meal the next day?
It can't be 8 since that is a normal sleep period.

Would 12 hours be a minimum time span between meals? Or more?

I have read the threads and the url/links - but just wanted to clarify.

The exact number of hours between can vary person to person. Time Resticted Eating is the window of eating.

Could be any of these... 18/6, 20/4, 23/1, 12/12, etc

Research shows the shorter window aids in our goals.

It depends on when I work out. If it's my off day, I usually don't eat after 7pm. If I hit the 7pm yoga class, I don't eat dinner until 8:30pm. I also get up at 5am for work and don't eat again until roughly 11:30am.

Ideally, I try and have my last meal by 6:00pm, and that will vary based on family and business dynamics. My "fast" I guess would be anywhere from 6p to 12p on good (most) days and from 7p to 9a on others. Time restricted eating works for me, is extremely manageable, and results in healthy outcomes. I may throw in a 2-3 day IF, but not often lately.
