Default yesterday was a terrible day

Oh, I was so off yesterday.
I don;t know quite what was wrong, 4 breakfast I had 4 h/b eggs, and lots of water..at lunch between class, i bought 2 cadbury easter eggs and ate them!!! Then when I got home, I ate 1/4 bag of bbq chip (lg bag).
I don;t even like chips.. I think I was unhappy...bad day..but how do you get over beating yourself up and not fretting about it!
Today is the day I usually go to my doc's and check the scale (did not bother)..I just felt so exhausted this am, I missed classes! I still am beat too! Could it have been because the extra carbs tired me out??

I usually feel GREAT on atkins, it is awesome how much better I feel, but yesterday, well that got an F..
Advice please.........

Aw, Jessie...sometimes we have to make these mistakes and feel bad so that we know we don't want to "go there" again. Maybe you need to carry some snacks to school with you? How about a slim jim . (I actually don't like those and would probably take nuts or cut up cooked chicken).

You have made a good start in weight loss....hang in there!

First . . . stop beating yourself up . . . people slip, fail, fall, or whatever verb you wish to use to describe your process.

Next . . . plan ahead. If you're the only low carber in the household, then set aside a cupboard for just your stuff. Don't go into the cupboard containing the chips, etc.

If you're not alone, then don't bring that junk into the house. Bring something in your knapsack that is a "legal" snack, and you won't be suceptable to buying junk just for the sake of doing so.

Don't give into emotional eating (I know, that's easy for me to say to you, even if I have to keep reminding myself). Have a drink of water; a nice herbal tea, or whatever works for you. Stress relief can be as simple as a nice brisk walk.

And to answer your question...I think the choc was the root of all evil! It probably caused you to crave the chips and then the combo (the high carb intake) left you feeling yucky! It happens sometimes. Ya just have to jump back on the wagon...the sooner you are back to lc, the sooner you will feel better again! You can do it!

PS...I speak from experience!!

I find that when I eat a lot of excess carbs I feel really down about myself the next day and my energy level is a lot less. The best thing you can do is get back to eating right and drinking a lot of water as soon as possible. Good luck!

Thank you for everyone for your advice and your support. It is appreciated very much!

I am still doing induction, as you can see I have ALOT of weight to lose..any induction treats that you can think of that would last in a packsac as I drag it through my college classes?

I always take those mozarella cheese sticks with me. They come prepackaged in one ounce servings--hold up well in a purse or knapsack and are low in carbs and not too bad in calories. Plus--you can "string" them which makes your snack last longer...
