Default Toronto? GTA? Ontario?

Hello!!

I thought it would be nice to meet some people from Toronto, the GTA or anywhere in Ontario.

It would be nice to chat with local LCers. We could discuss where to get certain products... grocery store/farmers market/restaurant/cool LC product recommendations... anything, really!

What do you think?

Hi Elizabeth, I live just north of Toronto and have been on Atkins now (for the second time) since January. I've gone from 207lbs to 183lbs so it's not fast. I've averaged it out and I lose around one to one and a half pounds per week. I order online from lowcarb canada.ca and enjoy their bread etc. This time I ordered their burger buns but they haven't arrived yet. How are you doing? Regards, Doreena.

Hi Doreena! Nice to meet you!

I forgot that I even started this thread, lol

I'm just north of Toronto too

Congrats on the weight loss!! I've lost 42lbs. and I'm really really excited!

Thanks for the low carb link. Have you ever been to the Low Carb Grocery Store in Markham? It's excellent and you can even order from them online:

http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/

Shipment is really fast because, well, they're just down the street!

Thanks for saying "hi"!

Better late than never Thanks for having me Vaughn isn't too far at all.. I haven't noticed too many others on this board from the GTA. We're a small group it seems.. most of the canadians on the board seem to be from the west coast.

Yes, it's true... I thought there would be more people from the GTA (or maybe there are, but they just don't post as much)... The west coasters DO seem to be very active on the forum.

Oh well. GTAers RULE!!! lol

Hope you're enjoying the gorgeous weather... no humidity, whoo hoo!

Have a happy long-weekend!! (say no to the ice-cream and beer!! my LCing hubby is an east coaster, so it's REALLY hard for him to pass on beer, lol)

Must be in the water in TO area, let me tell you. I lived in Brampton/Miss for 12 years (and just recently moved east to near Kingston). I met my dh while I lived there and he is also an easterner....the rock, actually!

He was the third newfie I dated...and he stuck. I never could stay away from the men from there, LOL.

He can give up everything carby except for the brew. Not that he needs it at 6'1" and 172 lbs with a six pack. *Sigh*.

I miss being near a larger variety of restaurants, let me tell you all.
